Happy Friday! Here’s the latest Columbus restaurant news:
- Fox in the Snow officially announced this week that its seventh store is coming to Clintonville, to 4203 N. High St., the former Hot Chicken Takeover space. On social media they said the shop will potentially open in May and sell the donuts they once featured at their original location. The Clintonville store joins an already-announced sixth location coming to Lane Avenue in Upper Arlington.
- This week Sexton’s Pizza officially opened its stall at the Little Grand Market. It took the place of Gant’s Pizza, which departed a few weeks ago.
- The new owners have taken over the former Gallo’s on High in Clintonville and renamed it Allora Kitchen & Bar.
- The owner of Fives Up High bar near campus announced that it will be closing on May 5 after the Senior Crawl, but said they’ll be “moving the spirit of Fives (and the liquor license!) into a brand-new basement space” at Twos Under High and opening in August.
- China Bell in Grove City posted on Facebook this week that they will be closing after 38 years in business on March 31. China Bell sits at 1947 Stringtown Rd.; the owner said that they’ve sold the building, while the site will be redeveloped.
- A new business called CoccoKay Bites is coming soon to 170 W. Olentangy St. in Powell. It features biryani dishes, bubble tea, cakes, snacks, and more desserts.
- Business First reported that a new bar and restaurant called Lorelei is coming soon to 831 S. Front St. the Brewery District as part of ongoing development there.
- I don’t know how I missed this, but Dumont Creamery & Cafe is now open at 8671 Sancus Blvd. near Polaris. Dumont serves coffee, ice cream, and boba tea.
Some great culinary events!
