    Turkey and stuffing are forever linked together. Whether you actually stuff a turkey with a stuffing mixture (and make sure it cooks through safely) or you cook the stuffing outside the turkey (in which case it’s known as dressing), you can’t have one without the other on Thanksgiving. We’re pretty sure it’s against the law.

    Though this combo is coveted any time of year, cooking an entire turkey can be daunting—and it takes hours we usually don’t have outside of the holidays. So, how can we get big Thanksgiving flavor any night of the week? With a handful of ingredients and a little imagination—swap in ground turkey, prepared stuffing, and a binding agent, and you have turkey and stuffing for the taking with a fraction of the effort.

    How to Make Turkey and Stuffing Meatballs

    The best thing about this recipe is that it uses any stuffing you prefer. If you have leftover stuffing from Thanksgiving or another holiday meal, you can use that. Or you can mix up a store-bought stuffing mix and use it as the starring ingredient for these tender meatballs. Because the stuffing will already pack plenty of seasoning, you won’t need to add extras. You can swap in a box of stuffing mix in these basic turkey meatballs. But to make things even easier, here’s a non-recipe recipe, and you’ll have dinner on the table in no time.

    Ingredients:

    Directions:

    1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
    2. Combine ground turkey, stuffing, and beaten egg in a large bowl until well blended. (If you feel like you need a little more moisture, add milk or broth, a little at a time until mixture is moist enough to form into meatballs.)
    3. Roll mixture into 16 to 20 meatballs using your hands; place on a baking sheet.
    4. Bake in the preheated oven until an instant-read thermometer inserted into the center reads 165 degrees F (74 degrees C), about 20 minutes.

    We think the best way to serve these simple meatballs is to make buttery mashed potatoes and nestle the meatballs on top. Pouring hot turkey gravy (jarred is fine) over the whole thing will yield the most comforting of comfort foods. Enjoy!
