It’s been three years since the owners of Kittie’s Cakes purchased Highline Coffee in Old Worthington, and just recently, with the move of the Shift Studios retail shop, they completed a nice expansion of the space!

They’ve now extended the seating and retail areas, offering more seats – and more comfortable seating overall – while the big windows still let in a lot of natural light.

The coffee counter is still tucked into the side room. (Fun fact: Highline Coffee used to just occupy that room!)

If you’re not familiar with Kittie’s, their menu spans full coffee and tea selections, sweet and savory pastries, and breakfast sandwiches.

As we get into summer, an iced honey latte is perfect!

On the sweet side, their cinnamon roll is a sure bet, especially when it’s warmed up.

I dig the blueberry galette as well.

Their everything sammie has been a popular choice for a while. It layers egg and cheddar on their everything biscuit.

I love their cheddar jalapeño sammie even more, with egg and pimento cheese on their cheddar jalapeño biscuit.

Kittie’s has also expanded their retail shelves with cards, candles, coffee, and more.

You can pick out bags of One Line Coffee and Stumptown coffee beans.

And they continue featuring local artists in rotating exhibitions, which I love!

Kittie’s in Worthington is open daily from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
