Whether you’re perched poolside, parked on the beach, or lounging in the jacuzzi on a cool day, the right cocktail makes all the difference. Especially if it’s simple, easy to make, low in sugar, and zero carbs!
My husband and I love these and they’re a great refreshing summer drink whether it’s the middle of August or on a chilly January afternoon!
All it takes is five ingredients, and your tropical escape begins. Not counting the ice, a maraschino cherry for garnish, and the shaker, of course. All you need to whisk you away to your own personal paradise is your favorite vodka, lemon juice, grenadine, club soda, and agave nectar!

What makes Tarte and Dirty drink enjoyable?
- Lemon and cherry give this drink a fresh, lively taste.
- With just a few ingredients, it’s simple to put together. You can also make a big batch for parties.
- A Tarte and Dirty is a great choice for special occasions or your next party.

Tips and Tricks for the Tarte and Dirty Drink
- Vodka – Kettle One is my recommended brand. You may use Sky or Pinnacle for a smooth flavor.
- Lemon Juice – To keep it fresh, squeeze fresh juice. It will impress your crew for using fresh. To make it easier, I am using bottled.
- Grenadine – A brightly red colored nonalcoholic pomegrante syrup that is found in the mixer asle in your local grocery store. If you don’t have any grenadine on hand, swap it for maraschino cherry juice.
- Agave – The sweetness of agave is just enough to balance the tarteness of the lemon. Add more or less for your taste. Remember that a little goes a long way.
- Club Soda – The soda adds refreshing bubbles to this drink. Also, club soda does not have an added sugar. Remember to never shake only stir a drink with soda.

Tarte and Dirty Drink
This drink delights with the tang of lemons and the sweet touch of cherries. A splash of vodka gives it a playful twist, making each sip both fruity and invigorating.
Notes
- When you shake up the lemonade portion in the shaker, drop an ice cube or two in with it. This is always a good idea when shaking to cool down the ingredients and preserve your ice.
- Also, NEVER shake soda!
- You’ll notice that we’re using club soda instead of 7-up or Sprite here. For one, this lowers the sugar content dramatically. The lemonade mixture has plenty, and by stirring lightly, you get a nice, fizzy consistency.
- You can always cut this in half or multiply for larger numbers of drinks.
- Add more or less club soda to your personal tastes and fizziness.
