Kyushu Ramen Bar just added a third location, this one on Bethel Road! They’re already one of our favorite stops for ramen, but they’ve quickly climbed toward the top of our list.
This new spot joins one of Columbus’ densest corridors for international dining, so it’s right at home alongside top-notch Korean, Chinese, French, Pakistani, Indian, and other global cuisines.

The new Kyushu joins locations in Grandview and Lewis Center, and serves sushi as well as starters, rice bowls, ramen, and fried noodles.

We started our dinner – on a blustery and rainy night, no less – with hot green tea.

From their starter menu we ordered a pair of karaage buns.

And chashu buns. Both are beautiful little bites, balancing sweet with savory and a bit of crisp.

Kyushu features a dozen different ramen bowls. It’s hard to go wrong with the classic tonkotsu, loaded with your choice of chicken or pork, fish cake, soft boiled egg, corn, woodear mushrooms, nori, green onion, and bamboo shoots.

But I’m especially partial to the black garlic tonkotsu, especially with the melt-in-your-mouth pork chashu!
Kyushu Ramen is open Sunday-Thursday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday-Saturday, 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
