    Cheesy Broccoli Casserole

This cheesy broccoli casserole recipe has only 4 simple ingredients and makes a hearty, comforting dish that the whole family will enjoy.

As you’ll see, the recipe is easily adaptable to your own tastes and dietary requirements so you can create the cheesy casserole of your dreams!

You can enjoy as a meal on it’s own or as a side with your favorite meal – this really is the perfect side dish to serve at Thanksgiving, Christmas, Festive or other gatherings as it’s a real crowd pleaser and oh so easy to make.

How To Make The Easy Recipe

Basic ingredients for the easy recipe

Start by gathering your four basic ingredients:

    • 1 Broccoli
    • 1/2 Cup Heavy Cream
    • 1/2 Cup Sour Cream
    • 1 Cup Grated Cheese

Preheat the oven to 180C/350F, chop the broccoli into bite sized florets and place into an oven proof baking dish.

You can use broccoli as is suggested in this recipe, or swap some or all of the broccoli for cauliflower, zucchini, mushrooms, brussel sprouts or any vegetables you have to hand.

Regarding the heavy cream and sour cream, you can include any creamy ingredients to make up the 1 cup. You can feel free to swap some or all of the creams for cream cheese, ricotta cheese, pouring cream or any other creamy ingredient you’d like.

Adding heavy cream and sour cream

Pour both creams over the chopped broccoli and give it all a good stir to combine.

    Adding grated cheese

As with the creams, you can use any grated cheese you’d like. Choose one or a mixture from:

    • Mozzarella cheese
    • Cheddar cheese
    • Parmesan cheese
    • Gruyere cheese
    • Monterey Jack cheese
    • Fontina cheese

Add half of the cheese into the casserole and mix through, then top with the other half a cup of cheese, or more, until you have a cheese covered casserole.

Place the easy broccoli casserole into the preheated oven and bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown on top, cheesy and perfectly done to your liking.

Serve the cheesy dish immediately as a main or side dish with a meal, storing any leftovers in an airtight container to enjoy within a couple of days – if it lasts that long!
